Thomas quickly develops a passion about photography and starts as an autodidact using an old Canon camera.

After a short period in a cinema school, he started at 19 years old a ten years career as a camera assistant on commercials and features. His technical ingenuity and flexibility have been developed by several overseas shootings, sometimes with harsh conditions. After his meeting with film director Michelange Quay, he decided to become the director of photography on his first feature film “Mange, ceci est mon corps” shot in France and Haïti, (Sundance 2008’s selection, Miami film festival’s Grand Prix).

Since then, Thomas sharpens his creativity alternating commercials, documentaries, art films (featuring artist Mali Arun) and cinema (“Nos resistances” 2011 and “L’autre continent” 2018 by Romain Cogitore, “Timgad” 2016 by Fabrice Benchaouche).

Being very much on the lookout for new technologies which lead to narrative work, Thomas masters the Vr360, 3D, full 3D animation, infrared, numeric pinhole…
